Words cannot in a strict sense express how happy we are to learn that these horrendous facilities are being close down.
Earlier this week, Ecuador's state announced that they'll be shutting from the top to the bottom of 'ex-gay' clinical programs, which were basically clinics that "were torturing and abusing the million with promises to 'cure' them of homosexuality."
AllOut.org co-miscarry Andre Bank has expressed his appreciation towards "with a bold front. LGBT and women's rights activists in Ecuador, and supporters around the world who helped elevate this national scandal to global prominence."
The gleeful advocacy website, along with Change.org, was quick to get 178,000 signatures without ceasing petitions that demanded an end to these frightful. programs in Ecuador.
Not only did the country respond to the outcry by closing the 'ex-sportive' clinics, but Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa likewise appointed LGBT rights activist Carina Vance Mafla for the re~on that the country's new Health Minister earlier this week!
Just goes to sight that if people make enough of a fidget, change CAN happen!
